QR Lab: Free QR code generator
NewGenerate QR codes for links, text, Wi-Fi, and contact cards, then download them as PNG or SVG.
https:// is added automatically when you leave it out.
Appearance
Four QR types, one screen
Every code is built in your browser with a real QR encoder, so you can print it at any size without a watermark, an account, or an expiry date.
Links and plain text
Encode a campaign URL or any text. The scheme is filled in for you when you paste a bare domain.
Wi-Fi access
Guests join by scanning: network name, security type, password, and hidden-network support.
Contact cards
A vCard 3.0 code that saves your name, company, phone, email, and site straight into a phone's contacts.
Print-ready output
Download PNG up to 2048 px or SVG for unlimited scaling on packaging, posters, and signage.
Your colors
Set the code and background colors, or go transparent to place the code on an existing layout.
Scan reliability
Choose an error-correction level and quiet zone so the code still reads when it is small, printed, or partly covered.
Questions about QR codes
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code contains your content directly instead of pointing at a redirect service, so it keeps working as long as the destination does. There is no tracking layer and no account that can lapse.
Is QR Lab free, and does it work offline?
Yes. QR Lab is free, with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limit. It runs entirely in your browser, so once you have opened the page while online, it keeps working without a connection.
Is the QR code free for commercial use?
Yes. Download it and use it on products, packaging, menus, or advertising. Sunsato does not add a watermark and does not claim rights over the codes you generate.
Which format should I download?
Use SVG for print and anything that will be resized, because it stays sharp at any dimension. Use PNG for websites, slides, and messaging apps.
Why will my code not scan?
The three usual causes are low contrast between the code and its background, an inverted design where the background is darker than the code, and too small a quiet zone. Increase the contrast, keep the code darker than the background, and raise the quiet zone.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The encoder runs in your browser, so Wi-Fi passwords and contact details never leave your device.
How much content fits in one QR code?
A few thousand characters at most, and the code gets denser as you add more. For long text, link to a page instead — it scans faster and prints smaller.
