Questions about Social Audit
What exactly does the audit show?
It compares the accounts you follow with the accounts following you on Instagram or X, and lists the ones that do not follow back. Each result includes the handle and a link to the profile, so you decide what to do with it.
Why is this a Chrome extension instead of a web page?
The comparison needs your own signed-in session on the platform. A website could only do that by asking for your password, which we will not do. The extension reads the pages you are already signed in to, on your own machine.
Does anything get sent to a Sunsato server?
No. The audit runs on the open profile tab and the results are rendered inside the extension. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account or history to sign in to.
Can it unfollow accounts for me?
No, and that is deliberate. The extension only reads and reports. Automated follow and unfollow actions are what platforms flag as abuse, so it never performs them.
Why are some results missing or incomplete?
Instagram and X change their page structure and access rules without notice, and both limit how much of a large relationship list they will render at once. When a list cannot be read fully the result is reported as incomplete rather than presented as final.
